I think your idea is a great one! A street party that involved that aspect would work well, i think and its a nice idea to get lots of different interested parties involved. The problem of tagging will always be there but an area where young people could all work on something together is always a good one and adds to the feeling of community.
I wanted to have a street party this year.... our two roads combined. Art up at the garages, music on the street down by my house opposite the pub and somthing going on in the park.... people selling things or somethng. There is also a home for people with learning differculties on my road... would be really nice to get them involved in some way. Lots of possibilities.
